Step In: Take Local Action for Global Impact
At James Trail, we see that the world is not as it was intended. Mental health challenges are skyrocketing, yet in many of the places where our partners live, access to trauma-informed care is little to non-existent.
The HIKE is an invitation. Step in locally—🏃♂️🚶♀️🏔️ walk, run, or hike, wherever you are—to impact access to mental health resources globally.
🥾 Step in with James Trail and JT Med—into places where the gap between needs and resources is the greatest.
We’re on the trail together. Will you step in?

Suicide remains the leading cause of death worldwide.
Recently in the US, more than 49k people died yearly by suicide, that’s 1 death per 11 minutes
This marks a concerning 30% increase over the past two decades.
Notably, the number of suicide deaths in 2024 exceeded 49,300, indicating a persistent upward trend.
Statistics show that between 20-25% of all adults in the US are experiencing mental health challenges.
Globally, mental health and trauma-related challenges have grown 25-30% worldwide since 2020.

The Hike is a movement...but it’s also a shared moment. It’s a I-see-you and you-see-me opportunity. We all climb our own “mountains” every day. We struggle. Sometimes alone, sometimes together. As we “hike” in unity on May 24th, we say to our global neighbors, “Your story matters. Your community matters. You matter.”
